Financial Planning workshop

Managing money in today’s world is becoming more and more complex. People find conflicting pressures and often have difficulty balancing their priorities.

This ˝ day workshop is designed for employees in their 20s and 30s and 40s provides participants with an opportunity to review their financial situation and take a realistic view of their options.

Starting with the basic question of where they are now and where they would like to be in the future, the workshop looks at basic budgeting and questions of balancing financial and ‘lifestyle’ issues.

Practical details of how various approaches to investing, saving, occupational pensions and the state pension work in practice are explained. Managing mortgages and other types of debt is discussed and a realistic view is taken on how these elements relate to the resources available.

We explain basic questions of tax and outline relevant benefits from the state for working families and give an overview of other important personal and family issues including wills and insurances.

The workshop offers opportunities to ask questions and discuss personal issues with experienced speakers who do not have the brief of ‘selling’ any particular idea or approach and to develop a simple action plan.
